"OOZE" Laimdota Malle
Vagonu Halle ielūdz uz Laimdotas Malles instalācijas OOZE atklāšanu Vagonu ielā 21, otrajā stāvā šī gada 29. septembrī plkst. 18.00.
Instalācijas OOZE darbu pamatā cirkulē divi galvenie jēdzieni – aiziešana un laiks. Izstāde skar jautājumus par to, kas notiek pēc aiziešanas – kā plaisā un gaist pieredzētais, cik neiespējami ir noturēt to, kas izlēmis pazust un kādus nospiedumus mūsos atstāj tie, kas jau sen ir izgaisuši. OOZE gan tuvojas domu caurspīdīgumam, gan mēģina aptvert materialitātes miesisko dabu, liekot pastāvīgi jautāt – kas no pieredzētā, saglabātā ir īsts. OOZE pēta skaidru, bet baiļu pilnu nojautu – ka esamība ir galēji negarantēta un ārkārtīgi trausla, un tā jebkurā brīdī var pilnībā pazust.
Autore strādā ar dažādiem medijiem, tostarp zīmējumu, druku, tēlniecību un animāciju, radot instalācijas ar īpašu interesi iztaujāt kolektīvās un personīgās pieredzes nozīmi. Tie ir metaforiski stāsti, kas atklāj līdz šim tikai nojaušamas ainavas un realitāti, citam virs cita klājoties dažādiem pieredzes līmeņiem.
Vagonu Hall invites you to the opening of installation OOZE by artist Laimdota Malle at Vagonu street 21, on the second floor.
The installation 'ooze' has been dedicated to the theme of vanishing, disappearance, and disintegration. It is explored through translucence, weightlessness and a floating sensation combined with embodiment, even carnality, thus drawing a unique, sensitive look at the impermanence and fragility of all people and things on the one side, and the long-term impressions — copies, dreams — they leave on the other. OOZE explores the clear yet fearful idea that existence is extremely uncertain and fragile, and that it can disappear completely at any moment.
Through drawings, paintings, sculptures and animation Laimdota Malle is exploring ways how to translate a partly verbalized experience into material. Observing the interactions of various media, taking place in the sum of their intra-actions, she has developed highly charged impressions of reality that invite to question the notions of realness, and acknowledge the unique vibrancy of imitation.
