Rāmis

"Reizēm domāju, cik labi, ka viss rit savu gaitu, viss kārtojas savā ritmā un secībā. Šo to mēs saprotam, daudz ko nē. 

Apkārt esošais ir kā pamests dārzs, kas dzīvo savu dzīvi tālāk, kaut dārznieks aizgājis. Viss turpina augt un veidoties, dārzā top sava, noslēpumaina dzīve. Un tā tik liekas, ka šajos dārza džungļos ir haoss. Protams, savā vaļā šeit atstāts viss...  

Par to dienas un laika daļu, kurš ir pats par sevi, par esošo, dabisko, nejaušo, savvaļo, par to visu ir manas gleznas. Protams, ar manu sajūtu, saprašanu, redzējumu…Dabas skati ap mums.

Abstrakcija un abstrakts. Abstrahēt – tas nozīmē pievērst uzmanību būtiskajam un neņemt vērā nebūtisko. Norobežot un vispārināt atsevišķas iezīmes, skatīt tās šķirti no pārējām. 

           Šos principus es ievēroju gleznojot.

           Abstraktā glezniecība ir sajūtu glezniecība. Tās priekšrocība – iespēja attēlot mirkli. Mirkli, kurš ir gana spēcīgs un svarīgs, mirkli, kurā notiek tik daudz kā būtiska.            

            Mana glezniecība ir dabas atdarināšana, dabas imitēšana, bet ne kopēšana. Viss ir noskatīts, sajusts un saprasts dabā - kāda īpaša brīža, kāda skata, vienas sajūtas it kā fragments. Šeit es domāju dabu, vidi, visu to, kas ikdienā ir ap mums. Vidi, kurā notiek mūsu dzīves. 

            Gleznā viss tiek pateikts tikai ar krāsu, arī kompozīcija veidota no krāsu laukumiem. Tie var būt brīvi plūstoši, viens otrā pārejoši, pārklājoši, tie var būt stingri atdalīti, norobežoti. Krāsa ir galvenā un tai skatītājā ir jāizraisa kāda sajūta, kāda doma. Protams, jāskatās un jādomā ir asociatīvi."

The artist Madara Gulbis says: “Sometimes I think how good it is that everything runs its course, everything goes according to its own rhythm and order. This is what we do not understand much. What is around is like an abandoned garden that continues to live its life even though the gardener is gone. Everything continues to grow and take shape, the garden takes on a mysterious life of its own. And so, it seems that there is chaos in this garden jungle. Of course, everything is left to its own wilderness... For that part of the day and time that is itself, for the existing, the natural, the random, the wild, for all that is my paintings. Of course, with my feeling, understanding, vision... Views of nature around us.

Abstraction and abstract. To abstract means to pay attention to the essential and ignore the unimportant. Delineate and generalize individual features, and see them separately from the others. I follow these principles when painting. Abstract painting is the painting of feelings. Its advantage is the ability to capture the moment. A moment that is quite powerful and important, a moment in which there is so much essential going on. 

My painting is an imitation of nature, an imitation of nature, but not copying. Everything is seen, felt, and understood in nature - of a special moment, a view, a fragment of one feeling, as it were. Here I mean nature, the environment, and everything around us daily. The environment in which our lives take place. In the painting, everything is said only with colour, the composition is also made of colour fields. They can be free-flowing, transitioning into each other, overlapping, and they can be strictly separated and demarcated. Colour is the main thing; for it a feeling, a thought must be evoked in the viewer.
