This January, the Art Academy of Latvia (AAL) and Riga Last Thursdays (RLT) Gallery Evening are launching a collaboration that will give everyone the opportunity to get to know the art process behind the scenes. From January to April, on the last Thursday of every month from 17.00 to 19.00, visitors are invited to start the Gallery Evening at the Art Academy of Latvia by viewing student exhibitions and taking part in talks and creative activities.
š This month's "MÄKSLA STRÄDÄ / ART WORKS" event is dedicated to the Department of Visual Plastic Arts at the Latvian Academy of Art which represents ceramics glass and textile art.
š” Visitors are invited to view several exhibitions of student works and participate in creative and educational activities on several floors of the Art Academy of Latvia.
š” Together with students from the ceramics department, visitors are invited to see the most acclaimed studio works, watch students in the process of creating their art, and in the "Materials Workshop" to touch and learn more about the raw materials of ceramics.
š” The evening will also feature works and raw materials from glass and textile art students.
Visitors are also invited to see the latest exhibition of painting students "VILCE4" on the 2nd floor of the AAL and to discover a special painting in the newly opened exhibition space NAGLA in the basement of the AAL.
