Rakstāmmašīnas, šobrīd, protams, jau ir pagātnes lieta, nu bet kas būtu, ja nē? Kā viņas strādā, kā viņas tiešām izskatās un kas tas vispār ir?

The Typewriter Museum biedrība atbildēs uz tiem jautājumiem, dodot iespēju paskatīties uz šo mistisko lietu, kura visiem patīk izskata dēļ, tomēr kuru gandrīz nevienam nebija iespējas izmēģināt. Mūsu izstāde dos Jums iespēju atgriezties atpakaļ 20.gadsimta sākumā un aiziet pa rakstāmmašīnu evolūcijas ceļu pat līdz 1990iem, kad rakstāmmašīnas beidzot tika aizvietotas ar datoriem. Jūs arī varat piedalīties mūsu mašīnrakstītas sienas izveidē, vienkārši… Rakstot lietas, kas iekrīt Jūsu galvā izstādes apmeklēšanas brīdī, kāpēc nē?

Typewriters are surely a thing of the past by now, but what if they weren’t? How to they work, how do they really look and what they even are? 

The Typewriter Museum answers these questions by providing an opportunity to take a look at this mystical thing that everyone likes for their looks, but most have never tried out using. Our exhibition will let you time travel  back to the beginning of the 20th century and walk the path of the typewriter evolution up until the 1990s, when typewriters had finally became replaced by the computers. You can also participate in creating our wall of writings by, well… Writing things you think about at the moment on a typewriter, why not?
