LV: Grupas izstāde “MARTS” [Tūre ar kuratoru pēc pieprasījuma līdz 19]

MARTS. Fotogrāfijas — izstādē un nāk modē!

No 2024. gada 1. marta līdz 31. martam T/C Mols Bazart lielajā izstāžu zālē, 2. stāvā (Rīgā, Krasta ielā 46) būs skatāma fotogrāfiju izstāde “MARTS”. Fotoattēli par fotogrāfijām top tikai tad, kad tos izdrukā taustāmā veidā, bet par acu prieku tad, kad tiem atrod vietu izstāžu zālēs un interjerā. Lai MARTA kolekcijā izdodas atrast telpu dizaina vizuālos akcentus!

Marts — te, ziemeļu puslodē ir pirmais pavasara mēnesis — Vikipēdija kā allaž ir sausa, bet aiz loga jau pil lāstekas. Debesis un upes ir vaļā, arī drosmīgākie pumpuri veras. Naktis pieraujas, jo līdz vasaras saulgriežiem dienu vairs nepārspēt. Putnu radio kļūst arvien raibāks un skanīgāks. Apkakles poga var iztikt bez pogcauruma un auto bez ziemas riepām. Bez mīlestības gan mēs nevaram, un kur nu vēl pavasarī. Bet citi nespēj bez mīlestības uz savu lielo kaislību, fotogrāfiju.

Marts ir fotoizstādes konceputālais ietvars, kurā uzaicinātie fotomākslinieki meklēja un atrada savdabīgu skatījumu uz pavasara atmodu. Fotogrāfiju izstādē piedalās 17 autori, kas pārstāv dažādas paaudzes, strādā dažādos žanros, virzienos un tehnikās. 

Mihails Ignats, Ainars Gaidis un Inese Austruma piedāvā pavasarīgo ainavu formālas kompozīcijas. Iespaidīgie skati uz Latviju no augšas ir savdabīgas kartes, kurās apkārtne ir piefiksēta abstraktos un dekoratīvos izkārtojumos. Ineses Grizānes fotogrāfijās augšskati pietuvojas zemei tiktāl, ka rada līdzību ar mikropasauli. Gatis Vanags piedalās ar attēlu izlasi no sērijas Latvijas galaktika, kur apļu robežās rotē dekonstruēti un multiplicēti dabas motīvu sirreāli un krāšņi tuvplāni. Gints Bērziņš un Haralds Vecvagars, plašāk pazīstami kā kino operatori jeb kustīgo attēlu veidotāji, ekspozīcijā rāda statiskus, bet īpašus skatu punktus, kuros ierasto lietu pasaule ir konceptuāla un smalki niansēta. Aigara Neļķes diptihā rāma un silta, pavasarim raksturīga gaisma, iezīmē smagnēju figūru aprises un iesaista gaismēnu rotaļās. Ulda Balgas, Solvitas Batarāgas, Zigmunda Kazanovska un Imanta Urtāna fotogrāfijās skatāmi pavasarīgi urbānās vides un dabas motīvi — gan ainavas žanra klasiskā manierē, gan autora konstruētā realitātē. Oskara Ozola un Sandras Garančas darbi ir poētiski un jutekliski portreti, kuros stopkadru lomas spēlē viņas. Evijas Džonsones fotogrāfijās viena no tēmām ir pilsētvides poētiska dokumentācija un marts fiksēts caur miglas priekškaru kūrorta pludmalē. Pavasara vēstneši Mētras Daumes darbos ir iesaldēti vispirms ledū, tad kadrā. Harijs Daina Liepiņš izvēlējies kūstošu sniegu kā mediju, lai veidotu vizuālas atsauces uz populāriem modernās un laikmetīgās mākslas darbiem.

Izstādes “MARTS” veidotāju komanda Džonsone, Liepiņš un Vanags plāno līdzīgas autoru grupu darbu izstādes  rīkot arī turpmāk un cer, ka foto—MARTS gluži kā kalendārais mēnesis taps par ikgadēju parādību.

"MARCH"

Photographs - at the exhibition and coming into fashion!

From March 1 to March 31, 2024, the photo exhibition "MARCH" will be on view in the large exhibition hall of T/C Mols Bazart, on the 2nd floor (Riga, Krasta iela 46). Photos about photos are only created when they are printed in a tangible way, but for the pleasure of the eyes when they find a place in showrooms and interiors. May you succeed in finding the visual accents of room design in the "March" collection!

March - it's the first month of spring here in the northern hemisphere - Wikipedia is dry as always, but icicles are already falling outside the window. The sky and the rivers are open, even the bravest buds are blooming. The nights are getting shorter, because until the summer solstice, the day will not beat again. Bird radio is getting more colorful and loud. A collar button can do without a buttonhole and a car without winter tires. We can't live without love, and what else in the spring. But others cannot do without love for their great passion, photography.

March is the conceptual framework of the photo exhibition, in which the invited photo artists sought and found a unique perspective on spring awakening. 17 authors representing different generations, working in different genres, directions and techniques participate in the photo exhibition.

Mihails Ignats, Ainars Gaidis and Inese Austruma offer formal compositions of spring landscapes. The impressive views of Latvia from above are unique maps in which the surroundings are fixed in abstract and decorative layouts. In Inese Grizane photographs, the views from above come so close to the ground that they resemble a microworld.

Gatis Vanags participates with a selection of images from the series Latvijas galaktika, where deconstructed and multiplied surreal and gorgeous close-ups of natural motifs rotate within circles. Gints Berzins and Haralds Vecvagars, more widely known as cinematographers or creators of moving images, show static but special viewpoints in the exhibition, in which the world of ordinary things is conceptual and finely nuanced.

In the diptych of Aigars Nelke, the calm and warm light characteristic of spring marks the outlines of heavy figures and engages the play of light. In the photographs of Ulda Balga, Solvita Bataraga, Zigmund Kazanovska and Imanta Urtans, spring motifs of the urban environment and nature can be seen - both in the classic manner of the landscape genre and in the reality constructed by the author.

The works of Oskars Ozols and Sandra Garanca are poetic and sensual portraits, in which they play the roles of stop shots. In Evie Johnson's photographs, one of the themes is the poetic documentation of the urban environment and March captured through a curtain of fog on the beach of the resort. Heralds of spring in the works of Mētra Daume are frozen first in ice, then in the frame. Harijs Daina Liepins has chosen melting snow as a medium to create visual references to popular modern and contemporary works of art.

The team of creators of the "MARCH" exhibition, Dzonsone, Liepiņš and Vanags, plan to hold similar exhibitions of the works of groups of authors in the future and hope that photo-"MARCH" will become an annual phenomenon, just like the calendar month.
