Ivars Pommers "Jānis Lustiķis"
LMA izstāžu punktā "NAGLA" līdz 10.novembrim skatāms Ivara Pommera laikemtīgās glezniecības darbs, kurā uz cukurgraudiem uzklāta upeņu sula veido viņa vecātēva Jāņa Lustiķa portretu.
Darbu iedvesmojis atgadījums, kad vecaistēvs devies uz Rīgu, lai pārdotu ģimenes salasītās upenes. Par nopelnīto naudu bija jāiegādājas cukurs, taču vecaistēvs tā vietā iemīlējies kādā gleznā, un cukura vietā mājās pārvedis to. Tas ir stāsts, kas atgādina, ka pāri loģiskajām un fiziskajām vajadzībām stāv, kas vairāk, kāda iekšēja sajūta, ko grūti nosaukt vārdā.
27.oktobrī, no plkst. 19:00 - 21:00, apmeklētāji ir aicināti piedalīties radošajā darbnīcā, ko vadīs māksliniece Ieva Stalšene.
Iniciatīva – NAGLA ir Latvijas Mākslas akadēmijas glezniecības apakšnozares domubiedru rīkots pasākums, kas radīts ar mērķi izcelt studentu glezniecības jaunradi, uzrādot šīs mākslas pamatdisciplīnas laikmetīgo fleksibilitāti.
Darba autors Ivars Pommers pašreiz studē LMA glezniecības apakšnozares III kursā.
Viewers are welcomed to visit newest exhibition point at the Art Academy of Latvia. Till the 10th of November spot "NAGLA" present contemporary painting by Ivars Pommers, who have applied blackcurrant juice on sugar cubes to creates a portrait of his grandfather Jānis Lustiķis.
The piece was inspired by the incident when the grandfather went to Riga in order to sell the blackcurrants picked by his family. The money earned was supposed to be spent on sugar, but he fell in love with a painting and brought it home instead of sugar. It is a story that reminds us that beyond logical and physical needs there is something more, an inner feeling that is difficult to call by name.
On the evening of 27th of October, from 7pm till 9pm visitors are welcomed to take part in creative workshop led by artist Ieva Stalšene.
The initiative - NAGLA is an exhibition spot produced by associates of the painting department of the Arts Academy of Latvia. It is created with the aim of highlighting the creativity of students' painting, showing the modern flexibility of the fundamental discipline.
Author of the painting, Ivars Pommers, is currently 3rd year student at BA painting programme.
