LV: Ieva Caruka “Vairākas dzīves” [Tikšanās ar mākslinieku] [Tūre ar kuratoru pēc pieprasījuma]

Vairākas dzīves. Tekstila objekti, gleznas. Es rakstu savas pasaules stāstus ar līnijām, diegiem, krāsām un kolāžām no personīgajiem un draudzeņu apģērbiem. Ietekmējos no senās Dogonu kultūras Āfrikā un latviešu Suitu gara, iedvesmojos no melnādainas sievietes pārliecinošā tēla mūsdienu kultūrvidē. Mans stāsts par mazās Baltijas sievieti. Viņas zina no savas pieredzes vai mammas stāstiem kas ir VDK pratināšana, ko nozīmē lāpīt kaprona zeķubikses “totalitārisma laikos”. Viņa ir kaislīga, jo tā ir viņas būtība. Viņa var tīrīt kartupeļus un vienlaikus sapņot par mīlestību. Viņā māk vīt ligzdu no nekā. Jautājums ir – kāda ir pasaule tagad? Viss mainās. Saražots milzīgs lērums nevajadzīgu mantu, kuras nelietojam….Tradīcijas brūk, ber karš Ukrainā - vēlreiz parāda, izceļ sievietes lomu pasaulē, kad valda agresija. Tad katra meitene kļūst par savas tautas ģenētiskā koda nesēju nākotnei. Katra sieviete ir mīlestība.

Multiple lives. I was influenced by the ancient Dogon culture in Africa and the spirit of Latvian Suiti, inspired by the convincing character of a black woman in the modern world. I write the stories of my world with lines, threads, colors and collages from personal and friends clothes. My story about the little Baltic woman. They know from their own experience or from their mothers stories what it is to be interrogated by the KGB, what it means to mend kapron tights in totalitarian times. She is passionate because that is her essence, that is who she is. She can peel potatoes and dream of love at the same time. The question is - what is the world like now? Everything is changing. A huge amount of unnecessary things, which we do not use, has been produced....Traditions are falling apart, the war in Ukraine - once again shows and highlights the role of women in the world when aggression reigns. Each girl then becomes a carrier of her nation’s genetic code for the future. Every woman is love.
