Kā daudzi šobrīd, es jūtu vajadzību rekonstruēt un meklēt mierinājumu pārdomās par mājām, piederību un nākotni. Šie darbi ir kā ieteikums pievērsties tūlītējai realitātei kā šo meklējumu sākuma punktam. Es ceru, ka tas arī kādam palīdzēs.

Vai bezpalīdzības brīdī esat vērsušies pie cēlās padomes -  ķiršu plūmēm, plaisām ietvēs, peļķēm, autobusu logiem, akmeņiem un čaumalām?

Nesvarīgi un ikdienišķi sīkumi kļūst par avārijas izeju uz īso tagadni - postošās pasaules (vēl vai jau) neiztraucētu. Tomēr šī pārbūve pieprasa rūpību, vai arī tās sniegtais patvērums var izzust, ja pārāk ilgi tiktu tuvu pētīts. Vienkārši – šeit mīt tas, kurā ir augšas un kurā ir lejas, un kas ir starp-citu un tas, kas ir lai-vai-kā.

As many others now, I feel the need to reconstruct, and search for consolation in the ideas of home, belonging and future. This work is a suggestion to look at the most immediate reality as the starting point of this search. I hope it helps someone too.

Finding yourself at a loss, have you ever turned to the great council of cherry-plums, cracks in the pavements, puddles, bus windows, rocks and shells? Uneventful, recurrent, almost mundane bits and pieces become an emergency exit — into a new immediate reality, undisturbed by the world’s crushing change. This new reassembly, however, requires caution, as the comfort of it might or might not disappear if inspected too closely or for too long. Simply put, here lie things that are ups, and things that are downs, and in-betweens, and nonetheless of things. What is really happening? The cherry-plums have fallen early this year, and in each there’s a promise of a new beginning.
