LV: Grupas izstāde “Starp mums viss labi” [Tūre ar kuratoru pēc pieprasījuma]

Izstāde un publiskā programma “Starp mums viss labi” aktualizē dzimtes un kvīriskā diskursu – aicina domāt ārpus idejas par identitāti kā ko pastāvīgu un stabilu, vēršas pret aizspriedumiem un bailēm no citādības, kā arī aicina apzināties plaisas starp identitātēm, minoritātēm un dažādām paaudzēm.

“Starp mums viss labi” dalībnieki kopā apdzīvo dzīvokli – izstādes norises vietu Dzirnavu ielā 60A-21 – gan sarunājoties savā starpā, gan aicinot izstādes viesus dalīties savās pieredzēs un pārdomās. Tā piemēram dizainere Rūta Jumīte un izglītības programmu kuratore Ieva Laube, sadarbībā ar kritiķi un pētnieku Ventu Vīnbergu, iekārtojuši “Stāstu viesistabu”, kas sociālas akcijas formā aicina dokumentēt LGBTK+ vēstures Latvijā. Akcija paredz apzināt kādas ir vēstures pierakstīšanas iespējas un robežas, un kā caur to apzināšanu un mediēšanu iespējams ietekmēt sabiedriskos procesus.

Projektā piedalās mākslinieki, kuratori un pētnieki, kuri šobrīd strādā ar dzimtes un LGBTK+ kopienai aktuālām tēmām gan veidojot izstādes, gan veicot plašākus pētījumus, izceļot reģiona specifiku vēstures un šodienas kontekstā:

Izstāde un publiskā programma “Starp mums viss labi” īstenota projekta “Līdzību salas: Kolektīva rokasgrāmata ilgtspējīgām un iekļaujošām mākslas institūcijām” ietvaros, ko atbalsta Eiropas Savienība un Latvijas Republikas Kultūras ministrija. Projektu atbalsta VKKF.

ENG: Group exhibition “All's Good Between Us” [Curator’s Tour on demand]

The exhibition and its public programme “All’s Good Between Us” addresses the discourse of gender and queerness – it invites us to think beyond the idea of identity as something permanent and stable, confronts stigma and fear of otherness, and invites to be aware of the cracks between identities, minorities and different generations.

Participants of “All’s Good Between Us” inhabit the apartment – the venue of the exhibition at Dzirnavu Street 60A-21 – together, both communicating with each other and inviting guests to share their experiences and reflections. For example, designer Rūta Jumīte and curator of educational programs Ieva Laube, in collaboration with critic and researcher Vents Vīnbergs, have set up a "Living Room of Stories", which invites people to document LGBTQ+ histories in Latvia in the form of social action. The event explores the possibilities and limits of mediating the documentation of historical issues, and how to affect social processes through this knowledge.

The programme features artists, curators and researchers who are currently working on gender and LGBTQ+ topics, through both exhibitions and broader research, highlighting the specifics of the region in historical and contemporary contexts:
