Brīvība

Līdz ar mākslinieces Brendas Jansones izstādes “Stigma zem dermas” atklāšanu un Elizabetes Balčus performanci plkst. 19:00 durvis vērs Katrīnas Neiburgas kūrētā mākslas notikumu telpa “Brīvība”, kas atrodas Brīvības ielā 40.

Brendas Jansones darbu sēriju “Stigma zem dermas” veido objekti – no dzīva cilvēka miesas noņemtā formā radīts mākslīgs, sintētisks silikona apjoms, kurā tetovēšanas adatas radītus zīmējumus aizvieto ar adatu implantēti cilvēka mati, saglabājot hiperreālu līdzību ar oriģinālu. Caur ādu, matiem un tetovējumiem izstādē tiek pētīts skatījums uz cilvēka ķermeni, to ietverošās stigmas un attieksmes.

Līdzās Brendas izstādei telpas otrajā stāvā tiks izrādīts “Brick bāra seriāls”, kura autori ir “Golfclayderman”, Pēteris Ķimelis, Dāvis Kaņepe, Ivars Grāvlejs, SRSRT, Andre Vide un Katrīna Neiburga.

The new Brīvība (Freedom) art space curated by Katrīna Neiburga is opening Thursday 7 p.m. with the exhibition Stigma zem dermas (Stigma Under the Derma) by Brenda Jansone, accompanied by a performance of Elizabete Balčus on the opening night.

The series Stigma zem dermas consists of flesh-like tattooed silicone objects casted from the members of living models, with tattoo ink replaced by manually implanted human hair, thereby maintaining a hyperrealist similarity with the original. Through skin, hair and tattoo this show explores a certain attitude towards the human body and the stigmas that surround it.

The second floor will feature screenings of the Brick Bar Series. It’s a video work by Golfclayderman, Pēteris Ķimelis, Dāvis Kaņepe, Ivars Grāvlejs, SRSRT, Andre Vida and Katrīna Neiburga.
