"Affirmation is short, but iron" by Elīne Buka

Ģertrūdes iela 115, Riga

About

" The chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken " – Bertrand Russell

Can we program our personal future through the power of thought? Is it possible to change It, if you made a mistake in the programming predictions? Even certified doctors tend to recommend affirmation-positivism instead of medicine to change the present by verbally practicing a few phrases. It is recommended to repeat the affirmations 33 times, 3 days in a row - this is the magic number that will transfer the manifestation into tangible reality.

The exhibition "Affirmation is short, but iron" is based on irritants of the senses - sight, smell, hearing and taste - which will reach the decisive cathartic point during the performance of the author - Elīne Buka.

Elīne Buka (1986) has a Master's degree in textile art (The Art Academy of Latvia). She has participated in solo and group shows in Latvia (Survival KIT, Art Station "Dubulti", etc.), abroad (USA, Great Britain, Lithuania), and since 2021 in art residencies (Sansusī, Rucka).

Supported by SCCF, Tālavas Cider, ZS "Baļļas".
