LV: Alexander Vinogradov "Project 360°" [Tūre ar kuratoru pēc pieprasījuma] 

Maxim Boxer Gallery skatāma slavenā mākslinieka Aleksandra Vinogradova personālizstāde "Project 360°". Izstādes gleznās un neliela izmēra skulptūrās materializēta, caur Google Maps digitāli piedzīvotā Rīga. Mākslinieka portretētā pasaules realitāte ir neatkarīga no subjekta pozīcijas, izpratnes un uztveres.

“Mehāniskā 360 grādu realitātes fiksācija ir mūsdienīgs pasaules piedzīvošanas veids. Šajā dīvainajā pasaulē mēs staigājam, neizejot no mājas. Šajā projektā mani interesē pasaules bezpersoniskā fiksācija un mākslinieka novietošana digitālās telpas centrā. Arī darbos attēlotie varoņi ir bezpersoniski, neatpazīstami, viņu sejas ir izdzēstas,” par izstāde konceptu stāsta Vinogradovs.

Izstāde Rīgā ir daļa no autora globālā projekta, kas aptver visu pasauli. Mākslinieks izvirza Google Maps kā jaunu pop-arhetipu, kas piedāvā pārvietošanās vieglumu, ideālu paralēlo telpu, kam nepiemīt realitātes šķēršļi un grūtības. Šajā pasaulē, kaut kur dziļi digitālajā telpā, kas aptver, apraksta un reģistrē visu pasauli, mīt cilvēciskas jūtas. Šī digitālā telpa, kas pilna ar cilvēciskām emocijām un empātiju, kļūst par mākslinieka izpētes un iedvesmas lauku.

Izstādes gleznās atainota Rīga. Izvēlētās ainas aizgūtas no Google Maps, kur kadru pamatā ir vien tīri funkcionāla vajadzība fiskēt pilsētas ielas, taču Vinogradovs piešķir šim digitālajam ceļojumam daudzslāņainību un cilvēcību. Maxim Boxer Gallery presents the solo exhibition "Project 360°" by the internationally recognized artist Alexander Vinogradov. The paintings and small sculptures of the exhibition materialize the digital experience of Riga through Google Maps. The reality of the world portrayed by the artist is independent of the subject's position, understanding and perception.

"The mechanical 360-degree fixation of reality is a modern way of experiencing the world. In this strange world we walk without leaving the house. In this project I am interested in the impersonal fixation of the world and in placing the artist at the centre of digital space. The characters depicted in the works are also impersonal, unrecognisable, their faces are erased," says Vinogradov about the exhibition concept.

The exhibition in Riga is part of the artist's global project, which spans the whole world. The artist proposes Google Maps as a new pop-archetype that offers ease of movement, an ideal parallel space devoid of the obstacles and difficulties of reality. In this world, somewhere deep in the digital space that encompasses, describes and records the whole world, human feelings dwell. This digital space, full of human emotions and empathy, becomes the artist's field of exploration and inspiration.

The paintings in the exhibition depict Riga. The selected scenes are taken from Google Maps, where the shots are based on the purely functional need to map the city streets, but Vinogradov gives this digital journey a multi-layered and human character. The paintings are complemented by sculptures, human figures without faces. The motif of the presence of all of us in a parallel, digital world is present in them, as is the human reality and identity that has been robbed from us.
